Haanel College and Metaphysical Seminary

HCMS is an international institution, founded and designed to help increase the credibility of the metaphysical ministry, by providing a forum for advanced training in metaphysical related subjects, via self-paced external degree programs that can be completed online.

Practical applications of metaphysics, advanced communication and counseling strategies, meditation, hypnosis, religious studies, and practical ministry are all components of our degree programs.

Our core curriculum is free from dogmatic thinking, allowing you to accomplish your goals free from constraints that schools affiliated with specific religious dogma often impose. We understand the need you have to use your gifts as directed, and validate your perspective on life, while challenging you to new ways of thinking.

• HCMS only awards advanced degrees upon completion of actual coursework, and the programs require disciplined study.
• Access to an Internet connection, and postal services are required to complete HCMS degree programs.
• Enrollment is open, meaning you may enroll and begin a degree program at any time. You may have access to your first class online, usually within 48 hours of enrollment.
• Due to the ’self-pace’ nature of our programs, some students who focus intently on their studies may finish more quickly than students who work at a slower pace.
• Most courses are text based, and most allow for completed exams and papers to be submitted online.  All textbooks are included.
• When you enroll, you will be provided a link to our Student Center, which provides course instructions as well as forums for discussion with other students.
• HCMS is not affiliated with any outside organization and operates internationally. We have chosen not to affiliate with other organizations to maintain our independence as a religious school, and as an independent school to allow you the intellectual freedom to embrace your own belief sets.
• All HCMS degree programs lead to ordination as a professional clergy, with all rights accorded religious professionals.
• We are an extension of the Universal Church of Metaphysical Practice, Inc., a 501(3)(c) religious organization.

International Student Body

Students are welcomed and accepted from anywhere in the world.

All coursework – textbooks, online texts, audio and video- will be in English.

Tuition must payable in US funds ($USD), or the foreign equivalent.

Our virtual campus structure should meet the needs of any student with postal service and internet access, and as technology evolves, more and more of our courses will be available entirely online.

All textbooks are included in your tuition. Unlike similar schools, we supply real textbooks rather than spiral notes written by one professor. Many of these textbooks are used in traditional colleges, and your enrollment will go a long way in helping you to build a professional library of metaphysical resources.  Imagine graduating with earned and recognized degrees, and in the process building a  professional library of resources to help you experience success.

Charles F. Haanel

Our college is named after Charles F. Haanel.  He was a successful author, businessman and prolific metaphysical thinker.  His original works, which are included as textbooks in our bachelor’s degree program, were central to the development of “The Secret” and his work has impacted generations of thinkers and truth seekers, including Napoleon Hill, who wrote to Charles Haanel characterizing his books as the source for “Think and Grow Rich”.  Unconfirmed rumor has it that Bill Gates studied his work before founding Microsoft.  His work has been a catalyst for changed lives, and harvesting the power of the Spirit within each of us. His principles of spiritual success and practical strategies for teaching spiritual principles are a gift to all.

Chancellor Obert Brinley, Ph.D., D.D. has many years of experience in both teaching and applying the principles of Metaphysics to real life. Dr. K.T. Tweten, Ph.D. D.D. serves as faculty advisor, and is a lifelong student of Metaphysics, with many years of experience in clinical hypnotherapy. He can be reached by calling our office

Paula Duncan, M.A., is a faculty advisor and curriculum development specialist at Hannel College and Metaphysical Seminary. She has been involved in professional development and education on a full-time basis since 1994. She can be reached by contacting our office.

We have many other faculty consultants and advisors, each with unique experiences and expertise in a wide variety of metaphysical subjects. You will be assigned a faculty advisor upon enrollment, and you may contact that person at anytime.
